Washing machines and dryers are not permitted in apartments so as not to overburden apartment and apartment line plumbing, and thus to prevent flooding. When you need to wash your clothes, laundry facilities are available on the ground floor of the building (see Laundry Facilities for more information). (See also Dishwashers.)
